Low heat in-put hard facing tubular electrode having excellent abrasion resistance properties. The tubular electrode deposits fine chromium carbide in tough austenitic matrix. The weld deposit ensures excellent wear resistance on 12-14% manganese steel components as well as on carbon–manganese or low-alloy base metal.
I.D.Fan blades, Impeller castings, dredger bucket lips, dragline bucket lips, points and cutting edges, conveyor chains, bulldozer cutting edges, pulveriser and crushing hammers, ball mill Liner plates, etc.
HARDNESS ON 2-LAYER DEPOSIT : 55 to 60 HRC
• Non-hygroscopic Flux coating, needs no redrying.
• The current required is quite low as compared to same die electrode of solid core wire. Hence dilution by parent metal is quite low.
• Higher deposition efficiency – 1kg electrode deposits about 850gm of weld metal as compared to 550
gm of weld metal deposited by solid core electrode.
