TUBULAR ELECTRODE - COMPLEX WEAR RESISTING TUBULAR ELECTRODE

IDENTIFICATION
Geecor 1212

DESCRIPTION
Low heat in-put hardfacing tubular electrode having outstanding abrasion resistance as well as resistance to erosion properties. The tubular electrode deposits Complex Carbide in martensitic matrix. The weld deposit ensures excellent wear resistance on high chrome steel components.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Fan blades, Impeller castings, dragline bucket lips, bull-dozer cutting edges, etc.

HARDNESS ON 2-LAYER DEPOSIT : 63 HRC (approx.)
ALLOY BASIS : C, Cr, Mo, V, B.

SALIENT FEATURES OF THE ELECTRODES
•    Non-hygroscopic Flux coating, needs no redrying.
•    The current required is quite low as compared to same dia electrode of solid core wire. Hence dilution by parent metal is quite low.
•    Higher deposition efficiency – 1 kg electrode deposits about 850 gm of weld metal as compared to 550 gm of weld metal deposited by solid core electrode.
