TUBULAR ELECTRODE - COMPLEX WEAR RESISTING ELECTRODE.
IDENTIFICATION
Geecor 606
DESCRIPTION
Low heat in-put hardfacing tubular electrode having outstanding abrasion resistance properties. The tubular electrode deposits fine Complex Carbide in tough austenitic matrix. The weld deposit ensures excellent wear resistance on manganese steel components such as bucket lips as well as on carbon – manganese or low-alloy base metal.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Rebuilding Bucket teeths. Fan blades, Impeller castings, dredger bucket lips, dragline bucket lips, points and cutting edges, conveyor chains, bulldozer cutting edges, pulverize and crushing hammers, ball mill Liner plates, clinker hammers, drag chain bucket.
HARDNESS ON 2-LAYER DEPOSIT : 62 HRC (approx.)
SALIENT FEATURES OF THE ELECTRODES
• Non-hygroscopic Flux coating, needs no redrying.
• The current required is quite low as compared to same dia electrode of solid core wire. Hence dilution by parent metal is quite low.
• Higher deposition efficiency – 1 kg electrode deposits about 850 gm of weld metal as compared to
550 gm of weld metal deposited by solid core electrode.
